Super64

We were joined by keyboardist David Tenenholtz on the 19th at Bin22 who showed off some serious technical chops and really put some drive into the rhythms playing bass lines with his left hand.  We played When I Fall In Love and David fell into the bass line of Let’s Get it On which went perfectly – very cool!
Soon after that we for the Goochland Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on the 27th at Hermitage Country Club.  It was a great crowd and we had a great time, opening with Stella by Starlight and swinging through straight ahead and bossa selections for cocktail hour.  Thanks to Barbara and everyone else at the chamber, and Chris at the bar!

Richmond, Virgina, based Super64 is a jazz-based band of veteran musicians who play straight ahead standards, rocking blues, and cool takes on rock and pop tunes for all varieties of events. Here are our upcoming public performances:

• We’ll appear with the Poetry Tasting on Thursdays 4/19 and 5/17, 6pm to about 9pm at C’est le Vin, 15 North 17th Street, Richmond, in Shockoe Bottom.  At the Poetry Tasting outstanding local poets read their works, if they wish accompanied with great jazz. We’ll play during their breaks and a set after the Tasting finishes.  C’est le Vin is a unique wine bar with a menu of savory foods, eclectic wines, and local arts.
