March Update

A couple of weeks ago Randy, Bob, and drummer Charles Hibbler hit Bin22 in our “Blue Stripes” configuration, jamming on the standards as well as a bit of rock and roll – we had a request for Neil Young so we went right into After the Gold Rush.  A rainy night but a good time.  Look for us back at Bin22 on Thursday March 31.  Hopefully we’ll be out on the porch again, see you there!

Check out Randy’s Players and Pickers Blog

Randy is up and running on his new blog which shares his deep insight about guitarist sound and technique; definitely of interest to those who enjoy listening as well as playing. His most recent post gives a shout out to one of my personal favorites Buck Owens. It is frequently updated and every post is a quick but informative read that will help you become a better guitar player or listener.  – Bob

January 2011

We were joined by keyboardist David Tenenholtz on the 19th at Bin22 who showed off some serious technical chops and really put some drive into the rhythms playing bass lines with his left hand.  We played When I Fall In Love and David fell into the bass line of Let’s Get it On which went perfectly – very cool!
Soon after that we for the Goochland Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on the 27th at Hermitage Country Club.  It was a great crowd and we had a great time, opening with Stella by Starlight and swinging through straight ahead and bossa selections for cocktail hour.  Thanks to Barbara and everyone else at the chamber, and Chris at the bar!
